The
office for DPEC is in two places one in a Building belonging to the
District Council and the other one used as a computer room is at a
school just opposite the other office.
DPEC Meetings
These meetings are held twice a month; once a month they also hold
general meetings for all the FBO leaders (Consortium). It was
reported that DPEC and the entire consortium are very active in
these meetings.
Volunteer Allowances
Allowances for the Volunteers were paid up to April 2005. The
outstanding amount is from the month of May, 2005. Two Volunteers
left the centre; one for studies and the other one due to non
payment of his allowances. This has left DPEC with only two
Volunteers.
Rentals
DPEC
rents offices from two separate organizations; one is the District
Council and the other is a School.
Rentals at the School were agreed that the school will be using the
computer for all its printing provided they buy their own toner.
DPEC will only be contributing towards electricity.
Resource Mobilization
A
proposal was written and forwarded to CRAIDS and desk appraisal was
already done. A visit to the office of the UNV confirmed this
development who also assured them that the funds for this district
were approved and IFACO process now will be speeded.
