Church of Christ

This district was evicted from the rented office space due to unpaid rentals. Currently the equipment is stored in the DPEC Chairperson’s office at his Church. DPEC have, however, been assured that should they manage to settle the outstanding bill the room will be given back to them.

DPEC Meetings

These meetings are held once a month and more often when there is need.

Rentals and Volunteer Allowances are owed from January, 2005

One Volunteer left for greener pastures leaving three Volunteers at the Centre.

Resource Mobilization

DPEC wrote a proposal and submitted it to CRAIDS the desk appraisal was done. At the time of this visit they were preparing for field appraisal.

Their computer was put out for business but failed due to stiff competition in the area.

Another proposal is being put to CHAZ for food rations because this is what is critical in the area and most Service Providers do not have this needed commodity.

Equipment

The keyboard jack feeding the monitor was reported faulty but when used on another computer it works. A different keyboard is currently being used.

Following the closure of the Referral Centre the equipment had to be moved and stored at different places. The computer is kept at the Chairperson’s office and the bicycles at one of the Volunteers’ home. Over time this Volunteer was robed of most house hold items including one bicycle. A detailed report on this is been awaited.
