Consistent with goals and objectives,
the key areas of ZINGO operations are:
Prevention:
ZINGO's
thematic area of intensifying HIV and AIDS prevention is complemented
by the support of Corridors of Hope II (COH II) which is a three-year
HIV/AIDS Prevention Initiative supported with funding from the
President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).
The project began in September 27, 2006 and ends September 30,
2009 and is implemented by Research Triangle International (RTI)
in partnership with Family Health International (FHI). The local
implementing partners are Zambia Interfaith Networking Group
on HIV and AIDS (ZINGO), Afya Mzuri and Zambia Health Education

Impact
Mitigation:
ZINGO
has been from as far back as 2004 involved in care and support
for orphans and vulnerable children. OVC have been compassionately
attended to, under what used to be known as “Mitigating
the impact of HIV and AIDS”. To do this ZINGO collaborated
with Partners such as Hope for the African Child Initiative
(HACI), Regional psychosocial Initiative (REPSSI), United Nations
Children Education Fund (UNICEF), Churches Health Association
of Zambia (CHAZ)/Global fund, Save the Children Sweden (SCS)
and Norwegian Church Aid (NCA).Read

Advocacy:
ZINGO sub granted
to 6 mother bodies to embark on the advocacy activities around
issues of child rights, based on action plans of the Siavonga
religious Leaders meeting held in September 2007. The mother
bodies took each the issues identified and began to mobilize
the communities and sensitized them over those issues in light
of child rights using the child rights programming concept.Read
