Provincial Offices

With a provincial office in Livingstone, Southern Region of Zambia, ZINGO works very closely with the Provincial AIDS Task Force (PATF) and District AIDS Task Forces (DATF).

FBOs, Youth and Sports

Between January and October 2005 105 youths were trained in sports administration. They spearhead development of sports activities in their churches. This is an initiative of the Faith Based Organizations to disseminate messages of abstinence and fidelity among young people of the communities. This programme is expected to accelerate in the coming year. A number of related sports tournaments, debates and other activities have been identified

Partnerships

ZINGO South region is working closely with the Norwegian Church Aids and Norwegian Olympic Committee and Federation Sport (NIF) through their Ecumenical Sports Office.

Sports courses are administered by professional sports bodies like the National Sports Council. The partnership with the NCA a sports volunteer was placed at the office of ZINGO for a period. PACT-Zambia will sponsor some of the sports activities.

Another partner is Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO). Two volunteers wil be placed here to help raise the much needed resources for programmes of the organization (ZINGO South). The first Volunteer may arrive as early as February 2006!

FBO Programmatic Support

FBO leaders received training in Psycho-social (PSS) support, Advocacy and media and Home Based Care work. Some funds have been disbursed to FBOs implementing Home Based Activities and orphans and vulnerable children OVC support programmes.
